Introduction

Step 1: Download it

Click the link below or go to the Design Hub → Icon Library → Icon Viewer and download the icon library file.

Step 2: Open it

Find the downloaded file and double-click to open it in your browser. No installs, no account needed.

Step 3: Find an icon

Use the search bar at the top to search by name, tag, or category (e.g. "archive," "download," "clipboard"). Or use the category dropdown to browse one section at a time, or just scroll through.

Step 4: Customize it

Click any icon to open its detail view. From there you can adjust:

  • Weight — regular or bold
  • Size — 16, 24, 32, 48, or 64px
  • Color — pick a preset or use the color wheel for a custom hex

Changes apply live, so you can see exactly what you're getting before you grab it.

Step 5: Use it

Once it looks right, use one of the export options in the detail view:

  • Copy SVG — copies the SVG code to paste into code/design tools
  • Download SVG — saves a scalable vector file
  • Download PNG — saves a flat image file
  • Copy PNG — copies it as an image you can paste directly into a Word doc, PowerPoint slide, or email

Bonus: Light/Dark Mode
Use the theme toggle (sun/moon icon) if you want the library itself in light or dark mode, this doesn't affect the icon's own color, just the viewer.

Naming Convention

We don't have a strict rulebook for icon names yet — they've just grown naturally as the library's expanded. That said, a few patterns keep showing up, and it's worth knowing them so you can search smarter or request new icons that fit right in:

  • Base name — a short, plain word for what the icon actually shows, like archive, anchor, or alarm.
  • Modifiers — extra words hyphenated onto the base name to describe a variation, like archive-export, archive-import, or arrow-down-long.
  • _alt — flags a totally different take on the same idea, not just a weight or size change. It can still stack with hyphenated modifiers, like archive_alt-small-lock.
  • Size tags like -big or -light mark a version that's deliberately drawn bigger or lighter — separate from the Regular/Bold toggle in Customization.

Naming something new? Start with the base name, then add hyphenated modifiers as needed. Save _alt for icons that are genuinely different, not just a small tweak.
